EAS installed a radiant barrier, fiberglass insulation and soffit vents for me in April of 2010 here in Houston. I just wanted to give praise to your staff. First, energy efficiency consultant did a great job sitting with me and working out all the details of our installation. He has excellent consulting skills and tailored my proposal exactly to what I needed. Secondly, the installation crew came exactly when they were supposed to and performed their jobs in a very professional manner. I had what I considered a difficult 3500 square feet, one story home with multiple cathedral ceilings, ceiling speakers, and 30 can lights that I was worried about. The crew protected everything properly and applied the radiant barrier and insulation along with multiple new soffit vents and baffles. They all took great care coming into the home and cleaned up completely after they left. Your company installed Fiberglass insulation R-25 in my attic on February of 2010. I have just received my first bill and am very pleased to report a $127 reduction in charges. I understand this is dependent on weather during that period and it will be several months before I see the true picture. Still, this is very promising.

However, I have definitely noticed a change in my comfort level. Prior to this, I was turning up the thermostat on cold evenings to 76F or even 78F and was still cold. I actually sat around wrapped in a blanket, wearing gloves, on some nights while the heating system ran almost constantly.

As far as the treatment we received, it was outstanding. Warren, came over early to help remove some of the stuff from the attic. He was very helpful all the way through the process. In fact, even if he hadn't mentioned a bonus of $50 for referring other, we would have done it any way. Presently, at least one of our children is scheduled to have the same service on their home.

On March 20, 2009 around 7:45 AM your installation crew arrived on time and ready to go to work. Your three employees got to work right away and were able to complete the process in less than two hours. When completed the installation supervisor Mr. Gerald Benton came to the door and asked me to escort him to the attic access and inspect the insulation. I was impressed with the work and the care of my home. They had cleaned up the work area and made sure all the systems wired in the attic worked.

In the last few weeks since the system was installed, we have noticed that we no longer hear some of the outside noise in fact we no longer hear the the water pipes expanding and contracting as the temperature changes.

Dear Efficient Attic Systems,
A couple of days ago I had EAS install a radiant barrier, extra insulation and additional attic ventilation to my attic. The first crew showed up close to the scheduled time of 7 AM.  Read More After they had finished I entered my attic to perform a visual inspection of their work. I noticed some obvious areas where the radiant barrier spray wasn't sufficiently applied and a couple of areas where the extra insulation wasn't blown in. The first crew quickly corrected these problems. I performed a second inspection of these areas and found them to be satisfactory.

However before I could perform a third more thorough inspection of the "hard to reach areas" the first crew departed. Upon completing my third inspection, I discovered a couple of more discrepancies in one of these hard to reach areas. The radiant barrier spray wasn't coating the entire underside of one section between rafters and the extra blown insulation was lacking just below it in 5-6 sections between the joists.

Just as I discovered this, your employee "Jerry" arrived to install the O'Hagen vents. He entered the attic with me and I showed him the problems. He agreed it must of been over looked by the first crew and immediately called his supervisor "Sebastian" with the details. "Sebastian" called me about 10 minutes later promising to send out another crew to correct the problem. However this other crew was in Scottsdale but would come over in a few hours after finishing their current job.

At about 2:30 PM "Donovan" and "Shawn" arrived. They were covered in silver from their last job and even looked like the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz. They apologized for their "late" arrival and politely explained how physically difficult their last job was and the heavy traffic which delayed them. I showed them the problems and without a second thought they went to work to make right the deficiencies left the by the first crew.

I write this letter to inform you about the great customer service I received from "Jerry, Sebastian, Donovan and Shawn". However I would like to especially recognize Donovan and Shawn. These two young men were examples of exceptional customer service. Why? First, they had driven approximately 50 miles from Scottsdale to reach my home to complete a job that wasn't even theirs. Secondly, they had just finished a job that tasked them quite physically as evidence by their sweat drenched clothing and silver face paint. Thirdly, they never once acted "put out" or unconvinced in anyway. Nor did they complain in my presence about their fellow employees responsible for them being there but instead apologized for them.

Even with all these events prior to arriving at my home, Donovan and Shawn were the most courteous and professional employees I've experienced in a long time. Not only did they do an exceptional job quickly and efficiently, they also went the extra mile to ensure I was 100% satisfied. During the clean up, they even cleaned up some drops of silver paint on the sidewalk in front of my neighbors house which must have been left by the first crew laying out their hoses.

Your company is very blessed and fortunate to have such dedicated employees representing EAS in such a professional way. Such employees are a rarity to say the least.

I’m happy with the radiant heat barrier that was installed in my addition and I can really notice the difference... Read More between this section of the house and the older part that I chose to wait on. I will likely be doing the rest of the house if the preliminary results I’ve seen hold up through the summer. The salesmen and the installation crew were very professional and courteous.

The one area I am disappointed in is the function and noise generated by the attic fan that was installed. I was told and was expecting the fan noise to be undetectable from inside the house, but instead it is extremely apparent from my new master bedroom when it is on. My wife is a nurse that sometimes works nights and sleeps days and I’m afraid I’ll need to turn the fan off on those days. I inquired about the noise and a service tech was sent to my house to ensure there was not an installation problem. Unfortunately, he informed me that what I was hearing was the normal noise level generated by the fan. I definitely would not recommend anyone going with the attic fan unless it was over something like a garage.

It is amazing how the house feels comfortable throughout the day. Before we had gotten the Radiant Barrier System it seemed like our A/C would constantly run and the house never felt cool. The thermostat would be set at 76 degrees but the temperature would stay in the lower eighties. Now the temperature doesn't get above 78 and the A/C runs a lot less often. And the savings we see on our monthly bill is substantial.

We ordered radiant barrier spray, 15" of white fiberglass insulation, and additional ventilation including ridge vents. We expected some improvement in our energy bills and a positive effect in the comfort of our home. The results were much greater than expected. Our energy bill dropped an average of 25%. Our "new" air conditioner did not cycle as frequently as it had so it was not working as hard as before.

The biggest difference I noticed was how much cooler the attic was than before the install. When removing storage in preparation, I could not stay in the attic for very long because it was so hot. After the install, the attic was much cooler and I could feel air flow which seemed to cool it even more. Putting the storage back was a "breeze".

We are extremely pleased with the performance of the "system" as well as how professional and clean the install crew was. Hats off to EAS.
